The North Leeds Charity Beer Festival 2025 brought together friends, families, and beer lovers for a weekend filled with great drinks, live music, and community fun. Organised by the Rotary Club of Roundhay, this event raised an impressive £16,500 this year, adding to a total of over £100k since 2012. It’s clear the festival has become a much-loved tradition that combines enjoyment with giving back.

A Weekend of Fun for All Ages

The festival's family session on Saturday offered a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages. Children enjoyed face painting and safe play areas, while adults could relax, assured that their little ones were entertained. Entry was free for children accompanied by a paying adult, encouraging families to participate in the celebration. Even well-behaved dogs were welcome, making it a true community event where everyone could feel included.

Children delighted in delicious snacks and beverages, while adults were treated to offerings from Setchfield Butchers featuring Pork Pie & Peas or Mrs Singh's Samosas.

A Wide Selection of Local Beer and Drinks

Visitors had the chance to sample over 36 ales, craft beers, gin, and prosecco from Yorkshire and nearby breweries. Some of the featured breweries included Kirkstall, Leeds, Ossett, Rooster’s, Daleside, Wishbone, Craven Brew Co, and Chin Chin Brewing Co.

The festival’s focus on local producers helped support small businesses and highlighted the quality and diversity of Yorkshire’s drink scene. Whether you preferred a crisp ale or a refreshing prosecco, there was something for every taste.

Live Music Added to the Atmosphere

Music played a big part in the festival’s success. Bands and performers kept the energy high throughout the weekend, entertaining crowds with a range of styles. Highlights included the Scott and the Antarctics, Kinda Blue, The Suitcase Rags Trio, PEARLMusic, Good Foot Collective, The Sicknotes of Cawood, and Parma Violets.

The live music created a lively backdrop for socialising and enjoying the festival’s offerings. It also gave local musicians a platform to showcase their talents to a supportive audience.
